I’m Stewart Shields, born and raised in Alabama. Growing up, I had big dreams that took me to Los Angeles, where I spent 25 years in television production. It was fast-paced and exciting, but after a while, I felt a pull toward something different—family, faith, and a quieter life.

One day in Santa Monica, I drove past a house with a tire swing in the yard. It reminded me of what mattered most: community, faith, and close connections. That stuck with me, and after some reflection and prayer, I decided it was time to leave LA. I moved my family back to Alabama to start fresh.

Finding my footing wasn’t easy. I tried a few things that didn’t pan out, until an acquaintance asked me to help with their pest control business. I wasn’t sold at first—pest control wasn’t exactly glamorous—but I gave it a shot. To my surprise, it clicked. I connected with customers in ways I hadn’t expected. Some needed pest help, others just needed someone to listen. I found myself offering support, sharing conversations, and even praying with folks when they needed it.

That’s when it hit me: this was more than a job—it was a way to serve. The tire swing memory came back, symbolizing faith, family, and community. With that in mind, I started Tire Swing Pest Solutions, built on those values and a commitment to helping people. It’s not just about pests; it’s about being there for our customers.
